Apple Wood and Fruit Woods

Raven Firewood is one of the few places in Western Canada that regularly carries Apple wood
for both fireplaces, smoking and cooking.

Apple wood is very hard and dense with high BTU heat value making it very desirable for
both heating and ambiance .

Apple wood has a very nice scent and adds a wonderful flavor when used in Forno Ovens, Smokers,
Grills and other wood fired cooking appliances.

Apple wood is unusual when compared to most other firewood's. Apple trees are gnarled and twisted with many smaller branches. Apple trees also have many burls, thorns and other deformities that make the firewood different than
most other cord wood. Do not expect that your order of applewood will be nice uniform pieces. It may be a collection of knot, branch's and all sorts of different sized splits and rounds.

Applewood is very hard to find and is a precious commodity, so none of the pieces including the branches are wasted. The branches may be smaller in diameter but make excellent sized pieces for ovens and smokers, plus they burn jut as hot and have all the flavor the larger chunks have.

We have apple wood in rounds, chunks and splits.

We offer it in quarter, one third and half cord sized pallets of hand picked pieces.
You can specify if you require smaller pieces for smokers and ovens or larger pieces for fireplaces

We are currently sold out of premade applewood pallets and bags for holiday delivery.
It is not know yet if we can assemble more in time for holiday delivery due to the delivery schedule rush.

Our recommendation if you require specialty firewood for Christamas Eve and the following 2 days is to buy a pallet of our premium Yellow Birch, Douglas Fir or mixed wood and request a bag or two of apple wood. We will attempt to make a small supply to cover the holidays. We cannot economically deliver one or two bags unless it is attached to a larger order like a full pallet or 20 bags of Ambiance hardwood .

Alternativly Mr Cappucino in Calgary has a limited supply of bags of our applewood in stock for pick up.
